Education is the act of transferring information from teacher to student. In America, education is becoming a civil rights issue as the inequities of public education are coming to light and made a policy issue of top concern. Formal education can occur in the public or private setting. For primary and secondary education, education may even occur in the home. Informal education can take many forms.
