Edubuntu, is an educational operating system which is based on the Ubuntu core. This opertaing system is designed with focusing to fulfill the needs for computing of children, students, parents, teachers, and schools. The default GUI Edubuntu is GNOME, but since the release of version 7.10, a KDE is also provided with the Edubuntu KDE version.
The latest release for this operating system is 9.10 which now comes in a DVD including text based and graphical installers. Also the versions above 9.04 can be installed as an add-on Ubuntu and Kubuntu through the software archives.http://edubuntu.org/Download
