  • Actor and singer Edison Chen began his career in Hong Kong. He has appeared in the American films Internal Affairs and The Grudge 2. In early 2008, Chen became embroiled in a sex scandal, when photos of him in compromising positions with numerous Hong Kong actresses circulated on the Internet. On February 21, 2008, he announced his indefinite retirement from the entertainment industry.

    Thousands of photographs with Chen and different women started circulating on the Internet in 2008. Some of the pictures were sexual in content. Hong Kong actresses and singers appeared in some of the pictures. The traffic on the Internet due to the pictures resulted in several servers crashing. In February 2009, Chen testified against the man who is accused of accessing the laptop.
