  • U.S. astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell was a crew member on board the Apollo 14 mission to the moon in 1971. Mitchell was the sixth man to set foot on the moon in NASA's third manned expedition to the Earth's only natural satellite.

    Since 2008, Mitchell has gained further notoriety for his belief that the Earth has been visited by extraterrestrial life.
