E'Dena Hines is a step-granddaughter of actor Morgan Freeman.

According to reports, the alleged affair between Freeman and Hines began when Hines was a teenager. Hines told Freeman's wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, that she went to dinner with Freeman and he tried to seduce her while under the influence of alcohol. She refused his advances, but the alleged affair continued for several years. Colley-Lee allegedly confronted Freeman about the incident and he promised it would stop.
