Early Life
Eddie Charles Jones was born in Pompano Beach, Florida on October 20, 1971. He attended Ely High School and then continued his education at Temple University. In 1994, he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Draft.Basketball-Reference.com: Eddie Jones -
Pro Career
Jones averaged 14 points per game in his first season and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie first team. During his years with the Lakers he was selected to two All-Star teams. In 1999, Jones was traded to the Charlotte Hornets with Elden Campbell for Glen Rice, J.R. Reid and B.J. Armstrong. After one season he was traded to the Miami Heat. He spent five seasons with the Heat until he was traded again to the Memphis Grizzlies. He would return to the Heat in 2007, after being waived by the Grizzlies. Trade to the Pacers
