  • Ed Swiderski is the final remaining bachelor on the fifth season of the reality television show The Bachelorette. He became known as the bachelor who walked away from love and Jillian Harris, in lieu of keeping his technology consulting job. Ultimately he took a risk, returned, and won her heart.

    Swiderski left his position at Microsoft, for a chance to find love on The Bachelorette. Half way through the show, he left, because he was afraid he would lose his job. A few weeks later, he returned and asked Jillian if he could rejoin the show, and she accepted. No mention was made to whether or not he remained employed, but he ultimately was chosen to be Harris' fiance over Kiptyn Locke and Reid Rosenthal.
