  Ed Begley Jr. besides being an actor has a tremendous respect for the environment. He promotes eco-friendly products such as the Toyota Prius and Best Household Cleaner. His own personal home is solar powered and he rides a bicycle instead of opting for more comfortable transportation. He also rides electric bicycles.

  Begley Jr. and his wife Rachelle host the reality television show Living with Ed, where they perform green audits on various homes and educate the owners on how to live in an environmentally friendly way.

• Awards

  He is receiving the Thomas Alva Edison Award for Energy Independence by the American Jewish Congress. This is the first time this award is to be presented. He was recognized November 2007 for his environmental work.
