Easy-Bake Oven

Hasbro's classic toy oven, the Easy-Bake Oven, has been an enduring product since its introduction in 1963. Over 11 models have been sold over the years, all of them using the heat from a light bulb to cook desserts like cakes and cookies. Though geared towards children, nostalgic adults have been known to cook more grown up meals in the tiny oven.

The Easy-Bake Oven affects many adults with nostalgia as they remember the toy from their youth. In 2003, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the toy, author David Hoffman published The Easy-Bake Oven Gourmet which serves as a cookbook and also reviews the 40 year history of the oven.
