Eastwick is an ABC sitcom that premiered on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10/9c. Based off the John Updike novel The Witches of Eastwick, the show stars Rebecca Romijn, Paul Gross and Jaime Ray Newman.
Three very different women living in the New England town of Eastwick just happen to meet while throwing coins into a wishing well. During a night of drinking the ladies playfully cast a spell for the perfect man. The next day all three women are introduced to a new man in town, Daryl Van Horn. Every week the show follows the women as they slowly become aware of their bewitching powers. Roxy has psychic visions, Kat has healing powers and Joanna hypnotic powers.

On December 16, 2009, ABC aired the 10th episode and then pulled it off the air leaving the public to wonder what happened to episode 11, 12 and 13. The United Kingdom is the only country to have aired all 13 episodes.

The Real Witches of Eastwick
The Witches of Eastwick is an original movie that was released in 1987 and starred Jack Nickolson, singer Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfieffer. Based on the story of three women who all discover they have witching powers after playfully creating a spell to find the perfect man. Nickolson plays Daryl Van Horn, the new bachelor who strolls into town.
Previous Incarnations of Eastwick TV Shows
The 2009 series Eastwick was hardly the first of its kind. Two other shows have been based off of the original book and movie, and in both cases were pilot episodes that were not picked up by any network. The first one of these TV shows was filmed in 1992, and was titled The Witches of Eastwick. The second show, also named Eastwick, was created in 2002 and starred Lori Loughlin and Marcia Cross.
