Eastbound and Down Synopsis
Kenny Powers, played by Danny Mcbride, is an obnoxious and cocky relief pitcher in professional baseball who is forced to retire following a well publicized scandal. He returns home to his humble hometown to live with his understanding yet perturbed brother, played by John Hawkes. In order to prevent his brother from kicking him out, Kenny Powers takes a job as a substitute gym teacher at his old high school.
