East Tennessee State University is a public institute of higher learning that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees.
History
Founded in 1911 as the East Tennessee State Normal School, the institution was set up to train teachers. It experienced several name changes throughout the years before achieving university status in 1963.East Tennessee State University: Fact Book
