As part of the NFL Wild Card Weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles fell to the Dallas Cowboys 34-14 on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. EST. The game was broadcast on NBC from the brand new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Just like a few other wild-card games, the game was a rematch of week 17. On January 3, 2010, the Cowboys shutout the Eagles 24-0. The Cowboys continued on to the NFL Divisional Weekend to face the Minnesota Vikings.

The Philadelphia Eagles finished just behind the Cowboys in the NFC East in the 2009 season with an 11-5 record. After defeating the Carolina Panthers in their opening game, the Eagles dropped the next match to the NFC-leading New Orleans Saints.
