Eagles Giants

As part of the NFL Divisional Weekend, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New York Giants, 23-11, on Sunday, January 11, 2009. The game began at 1:00 p.m. EST at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and was televised on FOX.

The Eagles will continue on to play the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game on January 18, 2009.

How They Got Here

Prior to defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the wild card game, the Philadelphia Eagles struggled mid-season with the benching of quarterback Donovan McNabb and a week 11 tie with the Cincinnati Bengals. The defending champion New York Giants finished the 2008 season with a 12-4 record, to clinch the NFC South, home-field advantage and a first-round bye.
