  • Since E3 2006, a ban on bikinis at the E3 video game conference has been in place. The ban, put in place by the ESA, is more commonly referred to as the "booth babe ban."Wired: E3 Expo Bans Booth Babes (January 24, 2006) Booth babes were attractive women, usually dressed in bikinis, that were hired by game companies to draw attention to their booths. The ban on booth babes has been in place since it was first implemented despite heavy disapproval. The ban is now in its second year at E3 2008 and the ESA shows no signs of removing it.
