Dynasty Warriors 7 - Wu Mission 20 - Battle of Fan Castle Part 2

Wu launched a sneak attack on Guan Yu’s forces while they were engaging Cao Ren at Fan Castle, but Guan Yu is nowhere to be found. Determined to reclaim Jing Province for Wu, Lu Meng continues the battle to find and defeat Guan Yu.

Dynasty Warriors 7 - Wu Mission 20 - Battle of Fan Castle Part 2

Player: Lu Meng. Talk to Guard to begin the mission.

Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Guan Yu.

2.) Lu Xun must survive.

Head north and begin engaging the enemy. Continue north into Xiangyang and defeat the officers inside. Keep going north and enter Fan Castle and defeat the enemies inside.

Ma Chao will begin to charge Cao Ren from the west. Meanwhile, Wei reinforcements have arrived to the north. Sandwich Ma Chao between your forces and the Wei reinforcements, and defeating him will be easy. Ma Chao has a forward charge AOE musou, and a grapple musou.

Head south and capture the two enemy bases in the centre of the map, defeating enemies who get in your way. Lu Meng’s first musou is a forward charge AOE that is useful for clearing mobs as well as hurting officers.

Soon after, Guan Yu will charge Jiangling castle and Xi Zhen will defect back to his side again, opening up the castle walls to Guan Yu. Make your way south to Jiangling. On the way, you will run into Guan Suo. You can stay and defeat him since Lu Xun has soldiers protecting him.

Huang Zhong will arrive with enemy reinforcements at the west end of the map and will charge towards Lu Xun. Once you enter Jiangling, head west and defeat Huang Zhong and Guan Ping. Guan Ping has a forward AOE musou and a small circular AOE musou around him.

Head west, then north towards Mai Castle. Defeat Wei Yan. He has a small circular AOE musou attack around him.

Continue north until you reach Mai Castle. A short cutscene will play. You will face Guan Yu along with a few enemy officers. Wu reinforcements will appear to the north, so you should have no problem overwhelming Guan Yu. When his health falls low, he gains Defense and Attack powerups. Guan Yu also has a AOE musou attack to look out for.
