Although the Yellow Turban Rebellion was quelled, corruption within the Imperial Court continued to weaken the Han Dynasty. Bian Zhang and Han Sui raised another rebellion in Liang Province. Initially, the warlord Dong Zhuo was sent to eliminate this new rebellion. However, he was unsuccessful and the casualties were high. The Imperial Court decides to send Sun Jian to assist him.

Player: Sun Ce. Talk to Sun Jian to begin the mission.
Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Bian Zhang.
2.) Dong Zhuo must survive.
Exit south out of your camp and jump down the cliff. Keep heading south until your allies are being bombarded by archers on top of a cliff. Move further south, then west up a ramp. Defeat Yan Xing, then head north to where the enemy archers are. There will be a lot of them, so you may find it hard to dodge all those stray arrows. Defeat Yang Qiu as quickly as possible, and the archers will flee.
Soon after, Ma Dai will advance towards Dong Zhuo from the northern part of the map. Your allies defending Dong Zhuo won’t be able to stop him, so head back to Dong Zhuo and protect him from Ma Dai. Ma Dai has a forward AOE attack that you should watch out for.
Head south-west towards the central base and jump down. This will confuse the enemies inside, giving you some time to defeat them without resistance. Aim for the archers first so you won’t have to deal with stray arrows. Defeat the two officers inside the base.
Head south-west towards the enemy main camp in the south-west corner of the map while helping your allies defeat enemies along the way. After climbing up the ramp near the centre of the map, a short cutscene will play. Ma Chao appears to challenge you. He shouldn’t be too difficult if you have been helping your allies advance, since they will help you gang up on him. Ma Chao has a forward AOE musou.
Continue south, then head west up a ramp to enter the enemy main camp. Bian Zhang is a generic officer, so there won’t be any surprises. If you have helped your allies to advance, then it will make things easier.
