After defeating the Wu vanguard, the enemy main force arrives led by Sun Quan himself. The Wei generals Li Dian and Yue Jin will attempt to lure out Sun Quan, while Zhang Liao will launch a surprise attack aiming straight for Sun Quan.
Dynasty Warriors 7 Walkthrough - Battle of Hefei Part 2
Player: Zhang Liao. Talk to Li Dian or Yue Jin to begin the mission.
Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Sun Quan.
2.) Yue Jin and Xue Ti must survive.
Head south across the bridge and defeat the enemy vanguard generals (marked by green circles). The only officers you need to pay special attention to are Ling Tong and Lu Meng, since the others are generic officers. Ling Tong uses Nunchuks, so his attacks are fast but the range is short. Lu Meng uses a Pike, so he will have more range. You will be fighting alone initially, so defeating the archers first will help alleviate the pressure.
Enemy soldiers from the west side of the map and the eastern bridge will start rushing towards Hefei Castle. Rush to intercept the enemy to prevent Xue Ti from being defeated. Fight the western army first, since they will reach the castle faster. That army is lead by Gan Ning. His musou is a forward AOE attack. He uses a Chain and Sickle, so his attacks will have decent speed and range.
By the time you defeat Gan Ning’s army, the eastern army will have probably infiltrated into Hefei. Enter Hefei to help out Xue Ti. The officers in this army are your standard generic officers, and shouldn’t give you too much trouble.
Sun Quan will retreat to the centre-east bridge. Li Dian will appear and destroy a bridge to prevent their escape. Rush to the enemy base and defeat Taishi Ci. Head east across the bridge to Sun Quan. A cutscene will play.
