Overtaken with grief, Liu Bei dies of illness in Baidi Castle. Liu Bei’s son, Liu Shan, assumed leader of Shu, and Zhuge Liang was made Prime Minister. Zhuge Liang mended relations with Wu, and concentrated on suppressing the rebellion in Nanzhong, lead by Nanman king Meng Huo. With the rebellion quelled, Zhuge Liang embarks from Hanzhong and commences the Northern Campaigns against Wei.

Dynasty Warriors 7 - Shu Mission 21 - Battle of Tianshui

Player: Zhuge Liang. Talk to Guard to begin the mission.

Mission Objectives: 1.)

2.) Liu Shan must survive.

Head north and begin to engage the enemy. Head north-east and help your main force defeat the Wei vanguard. Head north-west and enter the enemy camp. Defeat the enemy officer protecting it.

Back track and defeat the Wei army heading towards you.

Move towards the camp at the north-west corner of the map. Defeat Cui Liang. Zhuge Liang’s second musou is an aerial AOE that can be useful in clearing mobs. Once Cui Liang is defeated, he will defect to your side.

Wei reinforcements lead by Zhang He will arrive at the eastern end of the map. They will charge straight for Liu Shan. There will be a lot of enemies, so use your musous to clear the crowd before concentrating on the officers.

Head to the base in the south-west corner of the map. Cui Liang will open the door for you. Once inside, the enemy will ambush you. Cui Liang’s defection was false, and he will reappear to attack you. Defeat the ambushing officers to escape the ambush.

Head north towards Tianshui. On the way, enemy soldiers will appear in enemy camps on either side of you. Defeat them before proceeding.

Once you get close to Tianshui, enemy ambush units will appear around the castle. All of the officers except Guan Huai are generics. Guan Huai has a musou attack that will launch you into the air.

Head inside Tianshui and a short cutscene will play. The castle will catch fire. The Wei ambush soldiers will start fleeing, but Jiang Wei will stay. Jiang Wei’s first musou is a grapple, and his second is an aerial AOE.
