Guan Yu successfully floods Fan Castle and applying tremendous pressure to Cao Ren’s defenders. However, Wu forces have attacked Jing Province while Guan Yu was absent. It seems that Wei and Wu had established an agreement. Surrounded by Wei and Wu forces, Guan Yu must abandon his campaign and escape.

Dynasty Warriors 7 - Shu Mission 18 - Battle of Fan Castle Part 2

Player: Guan Suo.

Mission Objectives: 1.) Guan Yu reaches the escape point.

2.) Guan Yu must survive.

Escort Guan Yu south out of Fan Castle. Guan Yu will be ambushed by archers and will be injured. Guan Yu has a tendency to run off on his own, so try to keep up with him, especially since his health has reduced.

You will run across Lu Meng. After fighting him for a bit, he will begin to retreat. Guan Yu will pursue after him. After a certain point, Lu Meng will stop and Wu will launch an ambush on Guan Yu. Help Guan Yu defeat Lu Meng, Zhou Tai, and the other ambushing officers. Use Guan Suo’s second musou to damage officers, and his first AOE musou to defeat mobs.

Escort Guan Yu further south. Eventually, Xu Huang will appear and challenge Guan Yu. Help Guan Yu defeat Xu Huang to proceed.

Follow Guan Yu south and defeat Mi Fang and Fu Shiren. Fu Shiren commands a couple of catapults. Either destroy the catapults, or defeat Fu Shiren to stop them.

Escort Guan Yu westward. The inner Fan Castle gates will open, and Cao Ren will charge Guan Ping. Guan Ping will be defeated almost instantly.

Wu will ambush Guan Yu along the way. Help Guan Yu defeat them to proceed. Guan Yu will made a mad dash for Mai Castle, but he will be ambushed by Ding Feng. Rush straight to Guan Yu and help him defeat Ding Feng. Ding Feng’s attacks are mostly grapples, so it will be tough to block it.

Lu Xun will appear and trap you in Mai Castle. More ambush troops will appear. Defeat all enemies to proceed. There will be a lot of enemies, so concentrate on the archers first.
