Sima Shi’s efforts at Hefei earned him the respect of many influential officers, and would overshadow the failure of Sima Zhao’s attack on Wu. Meanwhile, Jiang Wei embarked on his Northern Expedition again. Sima Shi sent Deng Ai, Sima Zhao, and Guo Huai to Tianshui to begin the defences against another Shu invasion.

Dynasty Warriors 7 - Jin Mission 09 - 2nd Shu Invasion Part 1

Player: Guo Huai. Talk to Wang Yuanji to begin the mission.

Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Xiahou Ba.

2.) Sima Zhao and Wang Yuanji must survive.

Head south and engage the enemy. Move south-west and follow the path defeat the enemy units impeding you. Guo Huai’s first musou is a grapple, his second musou launches enemies into the air.

Head south towards the surrounded Sima Zhao. Help him defeat the attacking enemy. Jiang Wei will retreat.

The Qiang tribe will arrive as enemy reinforcements in the north-west corner of the map and will charge Wang Yuanji. Retreat back to your main camp and help defend her. Once defeated, the Qiang tribe will defect to your side.

Head south towards the enemy main camp. Shu reinforcements will arrive to the west lead by Yue Ying. Head west and defeat the new reinforcements. Yue Ying has a forward AOE musou attack, and another AOE musou.

Head south-east towards the enemy main camp and defeat the enemy units inside. A short cutscene will play. Xiahou Ba will challenge you. He has a forward AOE musou, and a circular AOE musou around him.
