Dynasty Warriors 7 - Shu Mission 12 - Battle of Chibi Part 1

Liu Bei narrowly escapes the grasp of Cao Cao due to the heroics of Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei. Zhuge Liang approaches Sun Quan to forge an alliance. However Sun Quan has little reason to side with the small forces of Liu Bei. Instead, Zhuge Liang approaches Zhou Yu, knowing that only Zhou Yu’s influence can persuade Sun Quan. In the end, Sun Quan agrees to the alliance and the Allied Fleet is to be commanded by Zhou Yu. Although Cao Cao’s fleet greatly outnumbers that of Wu’s, Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu devise a plan to exploit Cao Cao’s inexperience fighting on water.

Dynasty Warriors 7 - Shu Mission 12 - Battle of Chibi Part 1

Player: Zhao Yun. Talk to Liu Qi to begin the mission.

Mission Objectives: 1.) Defeat Cao Cao.

2.) Liu Qi must survive.

Head north and board the ship (marked by a green circle). The ship will set sail.

Take control of the ballista. This part of the mission is like a rail-shooter. Shoot down the ships that are stalling your progress.

As your ship moves, shoot down enemy soldiers on enemy ships. Soon after, the fire attack will commence and Cao Cao’s ships will catch fire.

Li Dian and some soldiers will board your ship. You can choose to fight on foot, or just shoot them down with your ballista.

Cao Cao’s archers will appear on the ships surrounding you. Shoot down the archers, and Yue Jin will board your ship. Defeat him the same way you defeated Li Dian.

As your ship approaches Cao Cao’s, Xu Huang will board your ship. Use the ballista to shoot him down.

Eventually your ship will dock. Exit the ballista and head north. Go ashore, turn right and pursue Cao Cao (marked by a green circle).

Mission Update: 1.) Defeat Xu Zhu.

2.) Liu Qi must survive.

Xu Zhu has guarded Cao Cao’s escape. Defeat Xu Zhu. You have fought him before, so use the same strategy as you would normally.
