Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Freeney played college football with the Syracuse Orange, starting in 22 games. He recorded 34 sacks, 104 tackles, 14 forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, setting NCAA single-season records for forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. He joined the Colts in 2002 for his professional debut, recording a career-high 41 tackles playing in all 16 games during his rookie season and earning his first Pro Bowl selection. He continued with the Colts in the years since, helping them win Super Bowl XLI in 2007.
