  • The Video Evolution

DVD players are the second phase in the evolution of recorded content made available for users to view and re-view at their leisure. DVD players were considered a luxury item as recently as the mid 1990s, as many consumers were still using videotape players. The successor to the DVD Player is the Blu-Ray Disc Players. But with Blu-ray players running at least $500, it is likely that DVD players will still be high demand with consumers for the forseeable future.
