Two Dutch men, 49-year-old Peter Mulder and 39-year-old Hans Jurgens, were convicted of assault for deliberately trying to infect 14 other men with HIV during a sex party. According to the prosecutors, the two injected their victims with HIV contaminated blood, after drugging them with GHB. The judges ruled that the matter of infection could not be proven since the victims might have contracted the virus earlier, by having unprotected sex.FOX News: Dutch Court Sentences 2 Men in HIV Infection Case (November 12, 2008)
