Dusty Rhodes (aka "The American Dream") is a semi-retired professional wrestler affiliated with World Wrestling Entertainment.
Rhodes initially achieved fame in the NWA's Florida promotions, where he won multiple titles, including the world title. He also wrestled throughout other territories, winning championships in Georgia, Detroit and San Francisco before settling with Jim Crockett Promotions (which later became WCW).
During his brief stint with the WWE from 1990 to 1991, he adopted a "Common Man" gimmick, wearing polka-dotted tights and dancing after victories. He feuded with Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase during this time, but never won a WWE belt. He returned to WCW as a booker shortly thereafter, sporadically wrestling before joining the nWo in 1996.
Currently, Rhodes works as a consultant for the WWE's Creative Team, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
