Dustin Moseley

  • Major League Baseball pitcher Dustin Moseley currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

    Prior to his MLB Career, Moseley attended and played for Virginia Tech University. On June 5, 2000, Moseley was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the first round of the MLB Draft. In 2001, he was placed with the Reds minor league affiliates for his first few years.

    On December 14, 2004, Moseley was traded to the then named Anaheim Angels. He continued with the Angels' minor league teams for his first few seasons, until getting the call up to the majors in 2006.

    Moseley made his MLB debut with the Angels on July 17, 2006. He played only three games his first season, allowing 11 runs in 11 innings. He stayed with the Angels for the entire 2007 season, playing in 46 games and finishing with a 4.40 ERA. He also made his first post season appearance with the Angels in 2007, where they lost the American League Divisional Series to the eventual World Series champion Boston Red Sox.

    Moseley started the opening day game in 2008 with the Angels, in a 6-11 loss to the Texas Rangers.
