Dustin Lance Black is a screenwriter.

Dustin Lance Black, the dreamy Oscar-winning screenwriter of Milk, has just been betrayed by someone he knows. Someone has sold sex pics to a photo agency, and now bad old Perez Hilton has found them.

The photos depict Black in a bed with another gentleman, back in November of 2006 (if the photo timestamps are to be believed). Perez suggests that there may also be video, which of course we would need to see were it to become available, for strictly journalistic purposes.

He has won awards from Critics Choice, the Southeastern Film Critics Association Awards and Hollywood Film Festival screenwriting awards. Black has been nominated for many other awards including from the Writers Guild of America for his work writing Milk. The day before the Oscars, he won a Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay.

In 2009, he won Best Original Screenplay Oscar for his film Milk.

Dustin Lance Black was raised as a strict Morman near the U.S. Army town of San Antonio, Texas. He found at a young age he was attracted to other men, yet because of his upbringing felt shame, despair and had even pondered suicide. After moving to California Black discovered theater and was amazed that men could leave an openly gay lifestyle. In college, he was affected watching the documentary The Times of Harvey Milk and was inspired by the politician Harvey Milk as a father figure.
