A cat wrapped in duct tape was rescued in Philadelphia, in September 2009. The female cat was wrapped tightly in duct tape and abandoned in the yard of a woman in North Philadelphia. It took the Pennsylvania SPCA an hour to cut the duct tape off the cat. An authority with the humane organization said "whoever did this took a lot of time. It was very methodical."
The SPCA offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who mummified the cat in duct tape. According to reports, the cat is recovering and her condition is improving.http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=news/bizarre&id=7027337
