Dublin Restaurants

  • Dublin is the capital of Ireland and also the largest city in the country. It's knows as the cultural center of Ireland because it's host to many of Ireland's sporting, events, theaters, nightlife areas and shopping districts. Dublin, like any large city, has a wide array of restaurants and dining options. From fine-dining, to pub-food washed down with a fresh Guinness, there is an selection for everyone.
  • Fine Dining

One of the best spots for fine-dining in the city is l'Ecrivain Restaurant. They are well-rated by Zagat Survey and Concierge.com, as well as exceptionally rated by Frommer's. The menu features a French fare, while many dishes are made with Irish ingredients. The food is "extraordinary" and the cost per plate shows this. The menu changes often, like most fine-dining establishments, but the wine list is "hefty" and "regularly updated." Reservations are strongly recommended at least a couple weeks in advance.
  • Affordable Dining

If you're looking for truly affordable dining in Dublin, or anywhere in Ireland for that matter, your best bet would be a true Irish pub. But sometimes the pub scene just isn't an option, especially when traveling with children; Leo Burdock Traditional Fish and Chips is a great low-cost option. True to it's name, they serve fish and chips, but only by take-out. Fortunately St. Patrick's Cathedral is only a short walk away, and there there are benches and places to picnic with your fine meal on the go. Leo's is open late, so be sure to stop in after a night of pubbing.
