Drop Dead Diva is the weekly Lifetime television show about a character named Deb, a struggling model that is killed in an accident. When Fred the Gatekeeper calls her shallow she panics and presses a button which sends her back to earth. Deb wakes up in the body of Jane played by Brooke Elliott a Plus size Attorney. Drop Dead Diva Premiered on July 12,2009 with an audience of 2.8 million viewers. The stars are Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, Jackson Hurst, Kate Levering, Josh Stamberg and April Bowlby The show is on break until June 2010.

Season Two

Season 2 will start on june 6, 2010. Rosie O'Donnell has already agreed to appear in her reoccurring rile as Judge Summers the second season. Faith Prince is also slated to appear as Jane's mother in this second season. The Season 2 Premiere introduced a new character that could be poised to cause trouble for Jane. The weekly show opened with Paula Abdul and Brooke Elliott in a song and dance routine. The season is off to a new start and will be on weekly Sunday nights at 9:00 EST.

Story Line

Deb a struggling model that is killed in an accident on her way to an audition for the Price is Right model in the first episode and once she gets to the Processing center they realize she has not done anything, Good or bad. When Fred the Gatekeeper calls her shallow she panics and presses a button which sends her back to earth. Deb wakes up in the body of Jane played by Brooke Elliott a Plus size Attorney which also had just died by tripping into the path of a bullet intended for her boss J. Parker played by Josh Stamberg. Each week Jane struggles and learns how much she can do now that she isn't quite so self absorbed.
