Drop Dead Diva is the weekly Lifetime show about Deb a struggling model that is killed in an accident. When Fred the Gatekeeper calls her shallow she panics and presses a button which sends her back to earth. Deb wakes up in the body of Jane played by Brooke Elliott a Plus size Attorney.Drop Dead Diva Premiered on July 12,2009 with an audience of 2.8 million viewers. Storyline
Deb a struggling model that is killed in an accident on her way to an audition for the Price is Right model in the first episode and once she gets to the Processing center they realize she has not done anything, Good or bad. When Fred the Gatekeeper calls her shallow she panics and presses a button which sends her back to earth.Deb wakes up in the body of Jane played by Brooke Elliott a Plus size Attorney which also had just died by tripping into the path of a bullet intended for her boss J. Parker played by Josh Stamberg. Each week Jane struggles and learns how much she can do now that she isn't quite so self absorbed.
