Driving Miss Daisy is a comedic drama film directed by Bruce Beresford and released on January 26, 1990. The screenplay was written by Alfred Uhry. The movie stars Jessica Tandy, Dan Aykroyd and Morgan Freeman. Tandy plays a widow who reluctantly accepts a driver (Morgan Freeman) her son (Dan Aykroyd) hires for her. Over the years, the widow and her driver develop a close friendship.

Plot Synopsis
The film tells the story of the 20-year relationship between a Daisy Werthan, a Jewish widow from Atlanta, and her driver, a black man named Hoke, during the 1950's. Daisy, played by Jessica Tandy is hesitant about having a driver, but over time, the relationship grows between Daisy and Hoke. -
