Driggs is the county seat of Teton County in Idaho. Although it is a small town with a population of around 1,300 spread over an incorporated area of 350 acres, National Geographic listed it as one of the ten best outdoor recreation areas in the United States in a 2001 article. Fishing, hiking, biking and horseback riding were listed in the article and many ski resorts are also located nearby.
Due in part to the formation of the Teton Valley Arts Council in 1988, Driggs has a thriving arts community. Host to many festivals, craft and art fairs, the community is considered to be one of the top 100 small arts communities in the U.S.
