  • College Football Career

    Prior to playing in the NFL, Florence played two seasons at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, then transfered to Tushegee in 2001. He finished his career holding the school record for the most interceptions returned for touchdowns, at three. Florence also earned Division II All-American honors following his senior year.   • NFL Career

    Florence made his professional debut with the San Diego Chargers in 2003, playing in all 16 regular season games and recording 20 tackles and two pass deflections. Continuing with the Chargers for a total of five seasons, Florence recorded his statistically-beat season in 2006, totaling 66 tackles, 13 pass deflections and three interceptions. After the 2007 season, Florence left the Chargers to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He started in only eight games with the Jaguars in 2008, recording 32 tackles.
