Dragonette is a new wave revivalist electro-pop band originally from Toronto (they now live in London) which consists of Martina Sobrara on vocals, her husband Dan Kurtz on bass guitar and keyboards, Joel Stouffer on drums and Will Stapleton on lead guitar. Sobrara had a moderately successful solo career before starting Dragonette. She released two albums in 1998 and 2000 and also provided vocals for a track on the 2003 movie soundtrack for Uptown Girls.
