Overview
Dragon Age: Origins, is a computer role-playing game currently in development by BioWare's Edmonton studio. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 in North America on November 3, 2009, and in Europe on November 6, 2009; BioWare has stated that the PlayStation 3 version of the game will be released on the 20th November.
Dragon Age: Origins utilizes a new game engine named Eclipse. It has been confirmed that a toolset for creation of fan-made content will be included, also, confirmed cooperative play. BioWare co-CEO Ray Muzyka describes Dragon Age: Origins as a 'spiritual successor' to the Baldur's Gate series, though it is not based on Dungeons & Dragons
Novels
There are currently two novels set in the Dragon Age universe. The first, Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne was released March 3, 2009. The second Dragon Age novel will be titled Dragon Age: The Calling and has yet to have a release date confirmed.
