Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening is the first expansion for the award winning video game Dragon Age: Origins, released on November 3, 2009. Just like the predecessor, Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening is a role-playing video game, available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The expansion was released on March 16, 2010, and it is rated M (Mature). The game is developed by BioWare and it is published by Electronic Arts. Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening will enhance the gameplay by bringing new features, characters, talents and many more to the original game. Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Gameplay
This expansion brings to players is a new zone that can be explored: Amaranthine. This adventure can be played with a new party, or the player can import the character he played with in the previous game. BioWare also introduced 2 spell chains, 6 new specializations, 32 new talents to rogues and warriors and 5 new party-members. The storyline focuses on the Architect and the player will have the chance to find out the mysteries behind the darkspawn. The level cap has also been increased, in order to allow the players to fight even more fantasy creatures such as: Inferno Golems or Spectral Dragons. In Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening there are new NPC’s the player can assemble, however some of the old character’s can also be met. For example: Oghren, Master Wade or Anora are there to help you, as well as some of your old companions: Loghain, Wynne, and Alistair. As of March 2010, BioWare made no official announcement that a new expansion or a new game will follow after Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening.
