Dragon 2- Blackpowder Promise is a main plot quest. This walkthrough will lead players to their first encounter with the enigmatic Qunari race of large, muscular humanoids, as you attempt to discover the secret behind their advanced powder. Players will have a moderate-level fight at the end of the quest, involving large numbers of Qunari and a few Qunari mages.

1. This quest becomes available to players after you rescue a dwarf, Javaris Tintop, from a group of spiders (this will happen automatically earlier in the game, as one of the typical "ambush" encounters, so don't worry about it). Make sure to accept it.
2. Head out to the Wounded Coast.
3. Take the south main road. There will be a small cutscene here with a Qunari.
4. Continue moving to the quest location. Kill the enemies, and head into the cave. 
5. Note: Although the Qunari seem like powerful enemies, they are actually not much stronger than typical human mercenaries.
6. Move through the cave. Once you get to the large open area with numerous Qunari (large humanoids with horns that you just fought), make sure to focus down the mage Qunari first. As usual, also try to keep them from casting.
7. Head to the quest location to exit the cave, and head back to the city. Choose the Docks at day as your location, and follow the quest arrow.
8. Enter the Qunari Complex.
9. Speak with the Qunari leader to complete the quest.
10. Now would be a good time to shop around and sell all the things you’ve picked up on your travels. Visit the Lowtown Bazaar nearby (leftmost location on the Lowtown map) and check out the various merchants there. Make sure to not sell anything you may want to use now or in the future (some items require higher attributes than you currently possess).
