Dragon Age 2 - Bait and Switch is a side quest that you pick up as a letter from your writing desk in Gamlen's home. In this walkthrough players will encounter 3 races; a dwarf, an elf and human enemies. Be prepared for battling large numbers of weak enemies, as well as a number of powerful demons at the end of the quest.

1. Find the letter on your writing desk in Gamlen's home and accept it.
2. Speak to the dwarf at Lowtown at night by following the quest arrow to his location. You should already be here for another quest so you shouldn't have to go out of your way to find this quest.
3. You will be ambushed multiple times by large numbers of weak enemies on your way to the elven alienage.
4. Enter the marked door. Kill the enemies inside, loot the chest and go back out.
5. Kill the enemies after the cutscene. Make sure to focus down the mages first.
6. Leave the area and accept the quest from the elf.
7. Leave Lowtown and speak with the elf in Hightown at night (follow quest arrow once again).
8. Head inside.
9. Take out the shades quickly with AOE abilities.
10. Continue on into the building
11. Continue clearing through the shades.
12. If you encounter a Rage Demon, bring it down quickly.
13. When you get to the room with the barrels, make sure to loot the Rage Demon after you kill it to get a key
14. Head back out into the large open room, and go up the stairs to the closed door.
15. Focus down the Arcane Horror. Use interrupt abilities (like knockdowns) to prevent it from casting.
16. After the fight is over, you will get a cutscene to finish off the quest.
