The speculation traces back to a post on [[Yahoo!|Yahoo! Lifestyle]] from November 2007, where claims that "insiders close to the popular TV star" divulged "jealous rages and controlling behavior are threatening Dr Phil's long marriage." The rumor is unconfirmed.
Dr. Phil and Robin have been married for 31 years. The couple has two sons, Jay, 28 and Jordan, 21.
In late May of 2008, Dr. Phil's alleged 'divorce' hit the front of the National Enquirer adding fuel to the gossip fire. The gossip magazine claims that he is ready to pay her $200 million in hush money for not exposing his 'secrets'.
