Dr John's Lollipops

Categories: News | Dental
  • Dr John's Lollipops are a herbal preparation, based on licorice root, that purport to fight tooth decay. The claims have not been validated by independent research. The lollipops were developed by a microbiologist at UCLA, who researched Chinese herbal remedies, searching for an substance that would attack the bacteria that cause cavities. He recommends using two lollipops a day, for ten days in a row, four times a year. It had previously be available only through dentists, but now can be ordered by individuals through the Dr. John's website.
