Doves are an alternative rock band from Wilmslow, England that formed in 1998. The members of the band originally played together in a dance-pop group called Sub Sub from 1985 to 1998.

Sub Sub
Sub Sub had one hit single in the UK, the song "Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)" reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart. The band changed their name and style after a studio fire destroyed their equipment and recordings in 1995.
