  • Former professional football quarterback Doug Williams played in the National Football League from 1978 to 1989. In 1988, Williams won Super Bowl XXII, becoming the first African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl. He also was selected as the MVP of the game.

    After retiring from the NFL as a player, Williams took an executive position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
