• Doug Stone is a country music singer-songwriter who released his debut single "I'd Be Better Off" in 1990. Since then he has charted 22 singles including number one hits "In a Different Light" and "Why Didn't I Think of That."

  On April 8, 2009, Doug Stone was allegedly found holding his 21-year-old son in a chin lock after police responded to a domestic disturbance in a condominium at the Grand Panama Beach Resort in Panama City, Florida. Police broke up the fight between father and son once arriving on the scene.
