Early Life
Douglas Andrew Mientkiewicz was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 19, 1974. He attended Westminster Christian High School. He continued his education at Florida State University. Pro Career
On September 18, 1998, Mientkiewicz made his MLB debut with the Minnesota Twins. In 2004, Mientkiewicz was traded to the Boston Red Sox, where he was a member of the World Series championship team. He has played for several teams throughout his career, including the New York Mets, Kansas City Royals and New York Yankees.
