  • Red Eye Appearance

    On March 17, 2009, Benson appeared as a panel member on the Fox News Channel late-night program Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld. During the show, the panel members mocked the Canadian military and its involvement in the Afghanistan War. Many Canadians, including Defence Minister Peter MacKay, were upset and offended by the show and Benson's upcoming scheduled appearances in Edmonton, Alberta were canceled after the venue's owner received threats.
