Doritos is a popular brand of tortilla chip marketed by Frito-Lay. Doritos chips come in many different flavors and a variety of package sizes. They are often used with dips. Doritos are also an ingredient in recipes for foods like casseroles and lasagnasc.

Nacho Cheese was the first popular flavor of Doritos, followed by Cool Ranch. Over the years, Doritos has branched out into many different flavors and even different products,  such as Baked Doritos.c Frito-Lay does not use trans fats in any of their chips, including Doritos.c

Doritos has been featured in several Super Bowl commercials over the years. They run a contest called Crash the Super Bowl, where viewers can film their own Doritos commercial and send it in. The top six videos win cash prizes, and the top three are aired during the Super Bowl.c

The above contest entry was pulled from the competition (and the company's website) by Doritos after Catholic groups made several complaints. These groups believed the ad was anti-Catholic and blasphemous.c

There has been controversy within the Muslim community about whether or not Doritos contain porcine (pig) products that woud make them inappropriate for observant Muslims to eat. Frito-Lay uses what they call "porcine enzymes" in some of their products, but not in others. Observant Muslims can look on a list on the Frito-Lay website to see which products, including Doritos, are free of porcine enzymes.c Although the products on that list are pork-free, they are not necessarily halal.
