Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb was reportely traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Washington Redskins on the evening of Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. McNabb had been the subject of trade rumors for some time before the transaction as his contract, which includes a $6.2 million roster bonus on May 5, 2010, expires after the upcoming season. After playing college football with the Syracuse Orange, McNabb was drafted second overall in 1999 by the Eagles. He earned his first of six Pro Bowl appearances the following season and led the team to the NFC Championship Game in 2001. The Eagles returned to the NFC title game in 2002, 2003 and 2004, finally advancing to the Super Bowl in that appearance. Philadelphia however fell in Super Bowl XXXIX to the New England Patriots.
