    Donovan McNabb threw for 2 touchdown passes and ran for another in the season opening victory for the Eagles over the Carolina Panthers. He suffered a broken rib on the touchdown run and was expected to miss two to four weeks. McNabb didn't practice or dress for the second game against the New Orleans Saints, who defeated the Eagles 48-22. He missed the third game of the season with the broken rib and Kevin Kolb lead the Eagles to a 34-14 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.   • Super Bowl XXXIX

    After losing three straight years in the NFC Championship Game, McNabb and the Eagles finally reached the Super Bowl after a standout season in 2004. However, McNabb went on to throw three interceptions and was sacked four times in the big game. It was also reported that McNabb became dehydrated at the end of the game and vomited in the huddle, leading to poor clock management.   • The T.O. Issue

    After the Eagles loss to the Patriots in the Super Bowl in 2005, wide receiver Terrell Owens began calling out McNabb. Owens also refused to speak to McNabb as he continued to make comments to the press about his quarterback and the Eagle organization. Owens was demanding a contract extension at the time. Amidst the distraction, Owens was deactivated for the 2005 season.
